I am a marine ecologist and use barnacles and their coastal habitats (e.g., shorelines, coral reefs, and deep-sea hydrothermal vents) as tractable model systems to study diversity patterns, phylogeography, ecology, and evolution within the Indo-Pacific ad arctic marine fauna. My research encompasses genes and molecules to communities and ecosystems. From 2003 to date, I have published 212 SCI papers, 16 invited book chapters and 8 books.  I have been elected by members  (> 49 countries) of The Crustacean Society as the President (2022-2023) to direct and promote crustacean research in the world and maintain society affairs.
