Prof. Sheng-Hsiang Wang

Pls provide related arctic research professionals, expertise and experience Dr. Sheng-Hsiang Wang specializes in following research fields: atmospheric observation, remote sensing, radiative transfer, aerosol and radiation, regional climate change. He is the first Taiwanese atmospheric expert to conduct atmospheric measurements in the Arctic Circle.  Since 2022, Dr. Wang brought multiple self-developed instruments to observe the mechanism of heat transfer between the Arctic sea ice, glaciers, the land surface and the atmosphere, including miniature sensors for PM2.5 and CO2 (later named as Aerobox), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sounding system, pyranometer, atmospheric turbulence (大氣熱擾動儀) and surface heat flux (地表熱通量儀). By accumulating and analyzing the data, it can provide valuable insights into the atmospheric processes driving the accelerated warming of the polar regions.
