  • Born and raised in Taiwan when the CO2 level was still 351 ppm. Spent a couple of years on the U.S. East and West Coasts for my Ph.D. and postdoc, respectively. In 2023, I founded the first research group in Taiwan that focuses on the Earth's cryosphere. Love hiking and skiing/snowboarding.
  • My research interests include understanding how planetary surfaces are shaped, how the cryosphere is changing due to global warming, how remote sensing techniques and data can be used to address geoscience and environmental issues, and how open science practices can lower the barriers to conducting Earth science research. I collaborate with multiple scientific teams worldwide, working with high-resolution satellite data to uncover hidden truths in observations. We process optical, SAR, multispectral, and altimetry datasets. We have developed several software packages tailored for cryospheric remote sensing analysis to ensure efficient workflows.
